Hi all,
Any recommendations for a windows .net managed server, must be located within UK or EU. Need advice as I come from a LAMP environment. Up to ?00 per month budget.
ThanksHello viper101 and welcome to WHT!
Is it a firm requirement that the server is in the UK? If so, can it be a US based provider w/ a UK presence or must the provider also be UK based?
Best wishes.Hi thanks you for your reply, yes it is a firm client requirement that the server is located within the UK or EU.
If it was my choice I would use a USA provider due to a good exchange rate.
ThanksHello,
Cool beans; w/ that budget, I would look at contacting some quality providers and have them either place a dedicated for you in a UK dc, or colo in the UK.
Good luck!Hi,Did you get any provider in the US with windows serverHi thanks you for your reply, yes it is a firm client requirement that the server is located within the UK or EU.If it was my choice I would use a USA provider due to a good exchange rate.ThanksThats too bad that your client has tied your hands on location. There are a lot of really good managed windows providers here in the states. I am surprised that you are having trouble finding someone in the EU considering MSFT's market share there.Do you have a limit on where in the EU you can be? I do have one European host I know who only does Linux. But he might know someone.
