List Box control

I want to move items from the 3 list boxes whcih are poulated dynamically from the datbase on page load event.As i select an item and move to target list by clicking add button ,i am not able to remove item from the sourcelist i.e where the item was earlier.I have used Remove method but failed, i thinf b'case as iam invoking onclik event it is submitting and again getting the value from the databse the original on.Help me pls.I have also used postback methos in the page load
