I've searched my site links in different search engine data centers such as .com, .il, .de ..

I'm experiencing few variations in the links such as 231, 430 and 250...

Why is it, what would be the reason.. That's natural. The tools never show the right number of links.

You could check it manually by link:yourdomainname.com different search engine follow own algorithm, so ranking is different. Quote: Originally Posted by suryanandikolla I've searched my site links in different search engine data centers such as .com, .il, .de ..

Why is it, what would be the reason.. As said above they use different algorithms. My suggestion is not to use google to see your backlinks. Check them on Yahoo or Google Webmaster Tool Quote: Originally Posted by bbriniotis As said above they use different algorithms. My suggestion is not to use google to see your backlinks. Check them on Yahoo or Google Webmaster Tool Each of the search engines do display links differently but you will find more of them on Yahoo than on Google. Every data center has its own data on how many visit in a particular site. And because we can not control the possible number of visitors. We can depend to those centers to give us at least estimated figures for a particular site links. Why is it, what would be the reason.. SE will not display all your website's links. It will just show your backlinks randomly. You guys are not reading the question:

Why is it, what would be the reason.. They are asking about different versions of the search engine. e.g. google.com, google.de, etc.

So far, I'd say this is the closest answer:

Yes, different data centers are used but also it depends on how well your content suits the country specific search engine. e.g. if your site is in German or address on the site is in Germany then you would likely do better in the .de version of the search engine than the .com or any other country specific search engine. Server location could also play a part in this.
