In all of my sites, I have linked to my css files. Sometimes, if my computer is running slow, the link will fail and I have to refesh the page to see what I'm supposed to. I'm curious as to how you all do it, linking to it or placing it directly into the page and how well either way works for you. 
I put the general layout CSS and the classes for the menu/main DIVs in an external stylesheet, and page specific code/classes internal.ditto. how slow is your pc if it fails to find style sheets?
