Linking To A Geocities-Hosted Image (not remote linking)

Hello,

I think this is the right form. If it isn't, then move it :) LoL, anyway, here's my problem:

I need to link to a specific geocities image so I typed (just an example):

<a href=http://www.htmlforums.com/archive/index.php/"http://www.geocities.com/whatever/dapic.gif">See Dapic!

But when you click on it, it says the file is not found! Is there a way to get around this? I'm not remote linking to a Geocities image, I just have a link to the image that isn't hosted on my server ;)

So, is there a way to make a link to an image hosted on Geocities without getting
This page is not available.nope.

i do know of a way to get an image to show up elsewhere, hotlinked. but i ain't tellin'.

it's totally against their TOS anyway, they'll getcha for it and shut yer site down (this is troo), and besides that, all they need is enough violations of their TOS to get fired up enough to start squeezin even tighter than they are now.

bet nothing on the cheap horse. ya got to pay to play. sad fact, but true.

best to find another free or cheap image host elsewhere. there are tons, if you don't mind them shutting down every four months and having to move your files all over again. it's either that or shell out the cash for a real host.Alright, thanks, but just to say this:

I have a real host. I use my internet provider, but I found a cool web site on geocities and I want to put a link dat would link me directly to the page with the image, because I don't want to waste space on my server. I'll just upload the images to speedis.org

Thanks anyway!with their insane bandwidth limits, Geo*****ies isn't worth linking to these days anyway. it's really sad, considering they once were king.
