I like to give my opinion on what ever i am blogging about, some useful info on the subject and a couple links to more detail sources on the topic.
It seems like wiki is usually the top search result on my subject and usually the most informative so should I have a link to wiki on almost every post. or like 65% of posts more realistically?
OR.. would I be better off finding a site that is dedicated to the topic and link to it even though it does not rank very high?
I think it helps having outbound links to related topics.
How many links should I provide and how does it affect my site.
Thanks all. A friend suggested linking every post to the same site would hurt my serp. You agree? I could see that being true Quote: Originally Posted by jasonk1234 A friend suggested linking every post to the same site would hurt my serp. You agree? I could see that being true i agree with you in that mimo, do you care to add anything to the topic.
I would like to know if people think its necessary to have outbound links to relevant sources for all pages or to vary the output of links Wiki would be a good initial source. But I would suggest that you also look for more reliable sources to better enhance the credibility of your posts as far as i know it doesn't matter.. as long as it relevant or supporting to the topic on my belief, i don't give too much outbound links. if i got the idea on wiki, then ill link my blog on to it but remember that giving too many outbound links is no-no. What wiki site are you trying to discuss here? Is it the authority Wikipedia site? If you link to it I may say it will never hurt your rankings because SEs likes links specially from authority sites.

You can see almost kws wikipedia is the top. Or I should say kws are on ranking high on serps.
You can read this old post --> 96.6% of Wikipedia Pages Rank in Google’s Top 10 cool guy I agree with you but linking every post to wiki is somewhat I don't agree. Its good to get links from authority sites but that doesn't mean that you get all links from just one site. The broad link way is also important. If your links are from different domains but still of your niche then it will help more in SERP. different and interesting opinions here. some think linking out to related sites has no value.
Others say it is important. Interesing I think if you do it normally and do not care how many links, that'll well Its not a good idea to link every page to same page Quote: Originally Posted by alaminaffiliate Its not a good idea to link every page to same page Could you back up that statement with reason's why?
