I don't know if you all have heard of the website Link Diagnosis, but I used it recently to check the stats for my website. I was wondering exactly how accurate this website is? I used it assuming it was very accurate but then I used another called Majestic SEO and got completely different results, so I'm not really sure. From what I understand Majestic SEO is the bees knees when it comes to doing link profiling on your competition. I've not used Link Diagnosis before, and never heard of it, so I can't really comment on that...
However which one gave you more actionable and insightful information? I personally use Market Samurai which I believe uses Yahoo! Site Explorer for its data and it's enough for me Hi,
In my own experiences, combining using Yahoo siteexplorer(within seoquake add-on) with backlinkwatch would be the best channel for analyzing back link purpose.
have a nice day, Link diagnosis can be a useful tool, but as what others have just said, try to combine it with some other tools like yahoo site explorer and backlink watch. yahoo site explorer and backlink watch combination will work fine enough.
no need to search for any other tool Quote: Originally Posted by vanessa.marie I don't know if you all have heard of the website Link Diagnosis, but I used it recently to check the stats for my website. I also have tried this tool and it gives quite useful information about backlinks. I think it's also one the best tools for competitor link analysis. Linkdiagnosis used to be one of my favourite tools but bit by bit they've changed the interface and workings of it, so im gradually leaning away from it now.
its useful in say comparison to yahoo, because it attempts to isolate the "strongest" 2 links from any domain, so you dont have to plow through hundreds from each domain.
it also attempts to calculate link "strength" by looking at the link page's PR and dividing by how many (outbound) links leave the page, Yahoo doesnt do that either. (whether Google are counting the link much for rankings though is another story)
however, be aware that linkdiagnosis is owned by an seo / linkbuilding company, and that all data can be accessed by them too.
Majestic (and Linkscape/ Opensite Explorer) are in a whole different league though, linkdiagnosis is still useful for a quick look, but for in depth research go with either of these 2.
