A US-based mortgage lending firm has been given an Outstanding Achievement Award for its generically named website, it has emerged.
According to the Fox News website, Lending.com was awarded the accolade by The Interactive Media Council (TIMC) - beating a number of other high-profile companies such as Pepsi, Starbucks, Sony and Dell.
Commenting on the award, Lending.com co-founder and chief operating officer Carrie Kelleher said that the company had been able to build success due to its ability to offer simple solutions from its generically named site.
"The entire process is about quality, expertise and results. We built this company with the goal of combining a quick and simple application process with unparalleled customer service," she said.
She added that Lending.com would continue to improve its services, which it hopes will boost business to a point where significant savings can then be passed on to its customers.
In November last year the site was able to launch a new service that would provide a "comprehensive, cost-effective automated compliance auditing" system.
