Large XML file in Excel shows some cells as # signs

I have a very large XML file over 650,000 lines, and I opened that in Excel 2007, without problems, however some cells(multiple line ones), are shown as a series of #s, when I double click on them the content appears, but whatever I tried if I export them to a csv those contents are replaced by #s ... like this >>>\[code\]##############################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################\[/code\]Besides clicking on it(displays the content in the content bar), I couldn't export the column, nor try to format the cells. Nothing works, it's just a bunch of text over multiple lines ...This is the first time I deal with XML data import into Excel I'm sure there's something I'm missing ... BTW the cells are formatted to wrap text, but toggling that off didn't help either.
