Basically I have learnt to use one keyword (exact) as anchor text.
but i have seen people using additional keyword in the anchor text
and when doing keyword research i found there is no search with that anchor text.
but different words in that anchor text can form various options
like
main keyword is anchor text "seo"
and some guys have used
"best search engine optimization - backlinking for google - onsite seo - blah blah blah"
so is there any use of such keyword stuffed anchor text? that would be kind of too much for anchor text.
if you would target, for example seo, if its too competitive it would take time and lot of effort to get results. When Single keywords have a lot of competition, target long tail keyword phrases for your marketing campaign..they have to be very specific to what you are selling. You can easily get ranked using them. Short tail keywords are harder, require more work, but you can rank. It's been my experience that if you go for short tail, you pick up a lot of long tail traffic along the way eventually. Quote: Originally Posted by rajwebwiz Basically I have learnt to use one keyword (exact) as anchor text.

so is there any use of such keyword stuffed anchor text? Not really. If no one is going to search for it, then it isn't going to do much anything for you. It's only value is to the direct viewers that will see the link wherever it is placed.
For backlinks, stick with keywords or short phrases that real people actually search for.
Jamie Actually,it useful for your rank, but not user experience Actually, it is there technique to target all keywords in single link... it's look like a spammy thing, but webmasters believe that search engines can read all those keywords, meaning, search engines can give value to all keywords particularly even they are in one anchor text. Interesting, I've never heard of anyone using this approach before. Do you have any articles or sites that discuss using this method? If the person you went through had those anchor text then probably he should have got natural links or may be he does not know what he is doing really. But it is always better you have around 2 or 3 keywords targeting a your money page and then randomly choose your anchor text. Place the keywords related to the content of the target page because Link relevancy is more important. so is there any use of such keyword stuffed anchor text? Anchor Text Enhances the Relevance of the Target Page
Please note that the keywords in anchor text enhance the relevance of the target page pertaining to the keywords used. While the relevance of the page containing the anchor text is also enhanced to some degree (because of relevant keywords appearing on that page), the real gainer is the target page URL. Use this knowledge to build the relevance of each page of your site, through optimized anchor text containing important keywords, relevant to the theme of such pages, from other pages of your site.
