Is it ok when you just build a site to optimize your site around those keywords which have lower competition?

I mean if you will optimize around those keywords when there is like 1mil+ pages like that your chance to get noticed might be very very slim if any.

So would it be wise to start with not so saturated keywords which have high competition?

Please discuss Hello,

I want to suggest you some keyword selection techniques in Search Engine Optimization.

First thing is that Research on Your website services page first of all then start to find frst of all your primary keywords.

once you will get your primary keywords, you can check their traffic and competition.

now you can select those keywords who has good traffic and lower competition.

after this process, you can work on your secondary targeted keywords.

Now You can try to research on keywords and then optimize, I m sure that you will get ranking for keywords which you want to target major search engines. Thank you for your help

All those high traffic keywords has too much competition like 20k searches and 4 million pages to compete with

What you are trying to ask is worded very akwardly.. I think the only route to go is to optimize your page on site and off site.. to the best of your ability. If you don't do both then your just kicking yourself in the rear imo. Good question though.. oh and I would start with trying to rank well for a longer tailed keyword then once your ranked for that, move on to your MAJOR KEYWORDS. its really ok to target first the keywords that has low competition, just move on to the next one once you reach your goal on that keyword.

with this, you will widen the search terms for your website and make it easy to search eventually. Quote: Originally Posted by richgambler Is it ok when you just build a site to optimize your site around those keywords which have lower competition?

Please discuss Ranked in the top for lower competitive keyword is no use not deliver any traffic. better try at least medium competitive keyword and type in the google search box, while typing u can see suggestion list.. SO if the suggestion are maching then choose or target the topest from the list Nope, in my opinion. If you build a site that targets on keywords with low competition, its a bit useless. It is a low competitive keyword simply because it would not drive you enough traffic. So better aim for something higher, since it would be more rewarding when it comes to your purpose on trying to rank for keywords in the first place.
