To all you experts out there. From what I have read so far, to increase your rankings with Google, a key factor is to have lots of back links to your site, and most importantly the page linking to you should have the keyword that you are most interested in. So my question isIs it sufficient to have the keyword that you are interested in anywhere on the page that has the link to your web siteorIs there some special form it needs to be in., ie., is this the 'anchor text' thingie that people talk about???Be gentle ............JacqueIt is even dubious if keywords anywhere else other than anchor text has any use. The importance of keywords in the anchor text, on the other hand, is immeasurable. The best examples are the google bombs and that "Miserable Failure" incidence. In my opinion, it's important to have that keyword somewhere on the page that links to you (so that the link is relevant) as well as in the link.you want your keywords in the link text. also make sure you use a good number of link text variations to avoid tripping a filter.tripping a filter? can you explain this a bit more please? are you saying that if you have a bunch of text links on other sites pointing to your site and most of them use the same anchor text then some will not count? Thanks for the replies.Darn - this website promotion 'melarky' is just all a little too confusing to me!
