...gang, is there a way to KEEP phrases together?.....I have 2 words that are suppose it be together like "PAST EVENTS" but, there on seperate lines.
I came across the TAG <KEEP> on a google search. I tried using it and it does not seem to work. Any help much appreciated.
kenThe non-breaking space is intended for where the content on either side needs to be kept together.
PAST EVENTSIf you require more control of the space width try one of these (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.cs.tut.fi/~jkorpela/chars/spaces.html">http://www.cs.tut.fi/~jkorpela/chars/spaces.html</a><!-- m -->).I often use a "span" and style for 'whitespace:nowrap;"., I.e.,
<p>I am formerly from <span style="whitespace:nowrap;">New York State</span>, but moved to Toronto in the year 2000.</p>
Here, the "span" tag uses inline CSS to prevent "whitespace" (the gaps between the words "New", "York" and "State") from 'wrapping' to the next line. If it cannot fit on the line, the entire "span" will drop to the next line below.
