I was reading an article about Kayak in my latest issue of Inc. magazine the other day. During the interview, the CEO of Kayak mentioned that they "Buy a lot of keywords from Google and Yahoo, so they have to keep up with that."
WTH??? Anyone on here heard of buying keywords?
After all the freakin SEO work I've done and paid for, I've always wondered how lame looking sites can score higher in the natural search results. Guess cuz they aren't so natural after all.
My husband suspected this all along. He's always pretty sure that money talks and BS walks in just about every aspect of life. Guess he's right on this one!
