Justifying the Value of SEO

“I’m expecting exponential growth, something like 20X the traffic that I’m currently getting,” he told me. “If we can get a number 1 ranking for this one keyword, that should be enough to get us there, don’t you think?”

One Top Ranking Isn’t Enough

Your goal can’t be to rank number 1 on one keyword. That’s not a goal.

What happens if you get the top ranking for your keyword and something happens, such as a major algorithm tweak by Google? You’ve then lost your ranking for that one keyword. What then?

Your thoughts If one got high rank for keyword or get the best position in search , but what that mean if none click on own site link. But if we have provide quality information on our site , then again visitor will come to our site for more information.
But to call visitor for unique information ,again it is required that our site shows in top position. And for that we required SERP rank and also want that our keyword highly searched by people. So SEO is like circle in which from where we have start , at the end we came to that position only.
And thus in SEO all things has some value in itself and one has to manage all. It is hard to put a value on SEO because at different stages of the process for website is different. A new website is different than one that has been around for ten years. The value of keyword to that website is important and the more keywords your rank well for then the value of SEO goes up, per se., It depends on the goal of the site too, ranking for more than ten keywords should be a long term goal of any site.
