JS: Bind a touch event with a sound on a mobile web app

I'd like to build a simple keyboard app in html5, to be used online or on a mobile browseri was wondering what are the best options out there to bind a touch event with a sound.I trie to do something couple of years ago but i remember some laggy experience not very enjoyable... so my point is to find something that is very repsonsive...maybe was just a CPU issue with older phones...dunno
