Javascript options strikethru

I am dynamically creating the options text. Is there a syntax possible to render them as strikethru? If I try \[code\]"<strike>"+tokens[0]+"</strike>",\[/code\] I get unescaped literal text which is not what I want. The more general question is can the javascript options render html
