How many people here have valid HTML code?

Check at http://validator.w3.org

I understand that when designig a site that there are some tags that are left out to reduce file size, or because Internet Explorer doesnt render your code the way it should, because of this though HTML code has become sloppy and invalid. I was on another forum and the MODERATOR was givng out a fix to a member and the code was blatantly invalid. The young person who he was helping will now go on for ever more with that little bit of code in their heads thinking it is write.

On another forum www.webmasterworld.com it gave out the amount of errors that large web sites had in their code.

Google, MSN, CNN and even the mighty Microsoft had a few problems to name a few.
Any monkey can write HTML but only a clever monkey can write valid HTML.Yeah, I thought I was using all the parameters I needed to for certain tags, but when I tried to validate, realized I needed so much more. It is extremely helpful in leading programmers in the right direction.I have noticed at many sites the some moderators don't know much about what they moderate. that is too sad. and yes most of my code is valid, I say most because I need to use attributes that are no longer valid to work in all browsers. The old browser issue is a killer aint it, I have just Download ed opera and alot of sites that I now visit are looking a little strange to say the least. I mainly concentrate on IE but I try to design for Netscape as well.
