Hi all!

I am getting this server from worldstream, the specs are :

i7 2600k
16 GB
2 TB Hdd
Raid - Software raid I think
1Gigabit Uplink
Windows server 2008 R2

There will be max 10 Clients connecting through rda doing operations like raring, unraring and downloading (No encoding, no website hosting, no game server hosting etc) .

So my question is am I making the right choice for choosing this server ? Will it be able to stand 10 clients ?

I am getting this at 190$ approx. Do suggest if you any other company which has better server in the same price range

There are also Xeon servers but they are a bit costy

. Also tell me which is better a single Xeon 1270 or i7 2600k ?

Again sorry if this is not the right place to ask this type of question . I'd definitely recommend you to use multiple drives, not one big drive in case your doing lots of RAR- and UNRAR.
Use 2 1TB or even better 4 500GB HDD's, RAID is optional, but recommended. You MUST have hardware RAID and and multiple hard drives if you want to sell rdas to 10 clients with that server, dont use RAID1

Ok I have sent them an email regarding multiple hard disks. Thanks for suggesting guys

Now my question is what is the difference b/w software raid and hardware raid ? If I software raid 4 500GB hdd rather HW raiding them. Will it make any difference ?
Hardware raid will go a little out of budget
