I'm trying to transfer my domain name from eNom to Namecheap.
Today I received an e-mail asking me to verify the transfer of my domain name.
In order to verify the transfer, it asks me to click on a link that looks like this:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://transfer-approval.com/u.asp?id=xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxx">http://transfer-approval.com/u.asp?id=x ... xxxxxxxxxx</a><!-- m -->
The e-mail is from: <!-- e --><a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a><!-- e -->
It makes me paranoid that the e-mail isn't from eNom or Namecheap.
I just wanted to verify the authenticity of this e-mail to make sure it isn't fake.
I'm getting mixed answers - some say it's real and some say it's a trick.
Thanks!
