Further to a recent post, Is there any way of finding out what anchor texts on links are linking back to competitors sites.

I am working on a site that ranks at #32 for a 5 work keyword, but ranks at about 20 if I take one of the words out, so it ranks worse with a longer tail...

Im wondering if this one word is a word competitors are aiming for.

Is there any easy or hard way to know? Am not the type of person who check the number of back links of our website nor monitoring our competitor's. I think using backlinkwatch (backlinkwatch.com) can help you to figure out what anchor text does you and your competitor is/are using and what URL is/are returning as back link.
Try it to see what I mean.

Don't get upset of your competitors... Do a cool linking
Target your keywords by commenting to a .edu or .gov blogs or even in any blogs but needs to make sure that the blogs has some pagerank or an alexa rank of bellow 10,000. Then after this try to bookmarks all the blog that you've been commenting.

Good luck dude... Hope this can help you... I have used backlinkwatch and I agree that it's a good tool to check your own backlinks or competitor's with the details of anchor text. you can try this sites for checking backlinks and anchor text backlinkwatch.com & backlinkcheck.com Hi scraff, here's a good tool and it has 7 days
