Is the first impressing on google so important...

Hi all... When I hear myself asking this question, it sounds a bit silly. But few times already I had this question in mind. Do you think the first time google index your site is important to future ranking? Do u think it's good to wait until your site is 100% ready for indexing? - I didn't exchange links with other sites yet, because I didn't want google to find my site. I know few people do the same. Maybe it's a wrong approach...? Guy.I think Google uses the cached version of each site to re-build its index, every time a page is visited and a fresh cache is taken the index changes.The internet is so large it doesn't appear logical to keep out of date data.Therefore I don't believe that a delaying will make any difference. So that the popularity of the site does not seem overnight!sandboxed, anybody?
