Is John McCain a maverick or a gelding?

McCain claims in an ad ge's a maverick, yet he backed Bush 95% of the time. Doesn't sound very mavericky to me.<br />

Mccain has his own way of doing things thereby making him a bit of a Maverick! I am certain he is distancing himself from Mr. Bush now that he is running for President because he knows people do not want more of the same policys.

you mean he backed bush on bush's increased spending for education? increased spending for entitlement progams? diminished spending for enforcement on illegal immigration? increased spending on natural disasters? increased spending on prosecuting corruption in big companies enron, world com et al? increased spending on AIDS/HIV programs? etc etc etc

btw McCain is a RINO. i'm holding my nose to vote against Obama, a self-confessed communist.
