We are moving from a table based website to a CSS site. Am I to understand that tables are "bad" no matter what? Is there ever an okay way to use tables?OH, NO! Not again! PLEASE don't start another one of those discussions.
Use a table for tabular data. Like a spreadsheet. Thanks for such a quick answer. I believe this thread has been nipped in the bud.HTML Tables are good for eating your food off because they have a semantic structure whereas lime a CSS tablecloth adds layout and presentation only.
Basically CSS is for layout and tables are for tabulated data, i.e. data that would make sense to be placed within a conventional paginated table not for laying out images, spacing text, etc.AMEN!
thank you SO much for this answer.
