Is it easy to get your Flash based website searched for ?

My Site, although not finished is http://www.wilkinsonphotography.co.ukIt is based on Flash but I have been told that Flash websites rank very badly on Search engines.Is this true or is there a way of getting my site seen ?ThxPaulMake a text verson.Search engines can only read text, They dont have eyes to see what the flash is about so deciding it's content is hard for them.as meman wrote, you have to ensure that your keywords and other content can be found by search engines.Thanks for the replies, but making a text version is not very easy for me as this was a template I bought.What I can do is a text homepage warning people that the site requires Flash to view it and put the keywords in there. Would that help ?PaulIt would help somewhat to get keywords somewhere on the site as text, But optimising flash sites for search engines is usually a fruitless labour.What i would do is make a completely html version of the site and have a homepage where people select flash or html, or even load your page as normal with flash, and have a link to "html version" at the bottom.For search engines to see some content it will need some text.Thanks again, But, I bought this template because my web design knowledge is very very limited so i wont be able to do a complete new HTML Version.What I will be offering to my customers though is online proofing which will be a HTML slideshow/photo viewer.I assume this will help ?PaulYeah HTML will help, Would need text though.If you are unable to do a HTML version of the site you could think about juts puutting an "about us" page somewhere, on there you can describe what the site is about and what you do, Just for something for search engines to read. Pages like that would help, They would have some text for search engines to read and let you keep the flash as your main content..Okay, will defo give it a goThxPaul
