before some time ago i hear only do- follow and no- follow links, but i come across with external link(rel="external links"), in palace of d/f and n/f.
Is Google consider these links as back link and give them importance or not? rel="external" just used to open the link in a new window. it works like target=_blank. The only difference is that rel="external" is xhtml valid, and target="_blank" is not. so yes Google consider these links as back link and give them importance..
rel="external links" is used to say that the page will open in new window good answer, thanks.
nothing to do it with SEO.
