When planning a web site we have to take care of many things like domain name should be easy to remember, short etc etc.Question is that, In ranking and in good seo techniques how much important a domain TLD is ?Like, if i have http://www.site.co.uk and http://www.site.com. Will this .co.uk and .com will have some difference as .co.uk will be delivering infromation to UK while .com will be world wide.Is there some effect of this domain TLD on a site's rankings ? If yes then which is more influencial, .com or .netSorry if i am not clear in my question the TLD extention has no effect on ranking.As for delivering results to specific countries, google uses the IP of the server to decide what country the site is from rather than the TLD extention.To what extent would you suggest a hosting servers physical location is important to UK searches, in Google and others? Is having hosting in the US a major disadvantage in this respect?Thanks.
