Is article marketing already dead?

Are you aware of the latest Google Algorithm called "Panda"? As what other marketers have been talking about, this algorithm may likely phase about article submission as part of link building campaigns. It seems like Google is considering most article directories as less valuable.

Is article marketing already dead? there is less value with duplicate articles for sure.
however with unique articles, article marketing should work like a charm IMO. article marketing will never die its an awesome seo tool .. everyone is so worried abut google panda i love how everyone freaks out about little things Yes I think google is knocking most article marketing websites pretty bad. The content for most of these sites is crap so it makes sense. I know for a fact that ArticleBase.com is one of these such websites that google thinks is spam... Not dead, definitely not. Article directory's have always been low value links but they do bring traffic. Guest blogging would be better for SEO and good quality backlink building.

It depends what you use article marketing for, if you want traffic then it's a good idea but if you want to build quality backlinks then it's just a waste of time. Still lots of traffic from Ezine, thats for sure. Quote: Originally Posted by SEOguy56 Is article marketing already dead? Absolutely not. Here's why article marketing is nowhere near dead:

While the article directories may not be getting the "love" that they were getting from Google a few months ago, they are still a very powerful marketing tool.

How can that be?

Site owners still know that they can log onto an article directory and get quality content for their site. That possibility for syndication is the most powerful part of article marketing. After all, if your article simply sits on a directory, all you're getting is a PR 0 backlink. But, if your article is good enough to get syndicated, you can get dozens of higher authority backlinks all from that one article.

If you've been of the mindset that article marketing consists of submitting quick (and often low-quality) articles to as many directories as possible - in hopes of stockpiling a ton of quick backlinks - then, yes, article marketing is dead for you. However, that wasn't the right way to approach article marketing in the first place

Any technique which is diluted will defintely hit by the Google. The article marketing has become so diluted that everywhere people look for 200 to 300 word article and do some anchor text and post it in the article directories for the sake of getting backlinks. One should understand that the article in the web is to a informative content for the readers and not for the SEO only.

On the other hand the blog commenting is also of no effect since we try to generate links without any information. In my opinion, article marketing has lost a lot of its importance ... nearly almost anything.
For Google, most of the article directories are considered as not important ... simply because they do not deliver useful and unique content. It seems to me that the big brands and social networks with great user communities and interaction rates had the best post Panda performances...
