Hi There, Is there a limit to how many directories one can submitt there website to ,can you get penalised for joining lots. Will this help my website if i join directories.Regards PaoloIt certainly helps when you submit your website to quality directories but you need to make sure you choose the most relevant category to your site's contents. I read somewhere that you should only submit to around six or seven directories per week.Hi Paolo,You can safely submit to more directories than 6 or 7 - remember not all directories will add your site immediately. Some will take weeks, or months - or even longer (or never). (One well-known directory just added my link last week after over a year.) So they are not all adding your link at once anyway.I have regularly submitted sites to 150 (quality) directories in one week with no negative repurcussions (and in fact with very positive results). There's no penalty for getting lots of links, per se. But links from spammy or low-quality sites won't help you.The key is to submit only to the best directories. It's not about quantity. As Joanne said, be a stickler about quality, and submit only to the most relevant category. Check to see that the other links on the page are well-written, and relevant to the category as well. Links from low-quality sites won't help you, nor will those from pages with a bunch of links to sites that don't relate to yours. Here are some tips on judging directory quality: http://www.quantawebdesign.com/tips/dir ... ality.htmlHope this helps.cheers ~DeniseHi Guys Many thanks for all your help Regards PaoloIt really is not possible to get relevant home pages with directories, because they are a directory and that's it. For relevance, see sites in your category. The most relevant you're going to get with directories is the inside page your listed on.Relevancy is good and so is spreading your Directory Submission Package out in blocks over 3 to 6 months. Ask the contacter person to do this.Reference: http://thyseo.com/checklist.htmlmatthewt wrote:
