internal PR

Sinse the last update i have some internal pages of my directory having PR 5 and my index having only 3. How can internal pages have higher PR when only the index is linking to them and the index have 3 when it has quite a few one way externall links pointing to it.?And a subdomain i have a toplist on has shot straight to pr 5, and hardly anyboody is linking to it..has PR gone mad?An internal page on a website can absolutely have a higher PR than the main page. For instance if for some reason you had more people linking to an internal page on your site, or if you had a few higher PR ranking websites linking to a page directly inside of your website, as compared to your main page.If you have just been seeing this in the last few days, Google is messing around Pagerank right now. The Pagerank on toolbar as been all over the place the last few days. When it all settles down i will have to look into who is linking to internal pages. As far as i am aware only the index has people linking to it on any sort oof large scale, I spent quite some time getting backlinks from other directories going straight to my index.I also have my 'links' page with the same PR as the homepage. That page is only about one month old and I am certain that nobody has linked to it.Even my admin page has pr 5, i dont think anyone would be linking to my admin page more than my index.
