So, I'm creating a fansite, and I'm the only one competing for the series fandom, and I want to be fully clear on duplicate content issue, here's the situation:
- I run a bridged WordPress and phpBB
- When I create a blog post (namely, news), a thread on the forum is automatically created the .
- When someone posts on the forums, a comment is automatically made and vice versa.
Does the last step causes an issue with Google? I really want to do this because users tend to have a nasty habbit of not visiting the main site. And it also kinda livens up both places ensuring each get an input from a user while also rising up the forums post counter.

I can't stress having an edit button outside the marketplace. I wouldn't worry about it. Just keep doing what you think is good for your users.
You may find Google only sends people to one of the copies, that's not an issue.
