Installing 'quite the same db' - can it be done?

Suppose I have a ver 3.8.1 running (but not smooth, mysql db named db1) on mypage/forums1 then I re-create from scratch the same ver 3.8.1 (with mysql db named db2) on mypage/forums2


If I wanna maintained the same users, passwords & credentials.... what must I copy from the 'old' db1?
