Installing MODs on vBulletin is easy. Pathetically easy.
1. Download the MOD of your choice. There are many different types.
2. Read the README.
3. Upload the files to their respective directory. For example. Look in the folder the MOD is located in. You should see directories like Admin, Clientscript, Includes, etc.
4. Open those folders. Inside, you'll find files. Upload those files into the same directory you found them in. Example: Files in the Admin folder, should be uploaded to the admin folder.
5. Once you are done with uploading the files, import in the XML file from your computer. MOD Installed, or mostly installed.
6. If your mod does not require template edits, you are done.
7. If it does require template edits, open up the respective templates (Example: navbar template). Search for the code, add the other code in. Done.
Importing the XML file is easy.
AdminCP>Plugins and Products>Manage Products>Add/Import Product. Find your XML file on your computer. Import the product. You are done. Enjoy your new MOD.
FYI, CHECK THE VERSION COMPATIBLITY FOR YOUR MODS. If you try to import a 3.0 MOD on a 3.7 board, more than likely, it's not going to work and it will probably screw up your boards.
~Mr. C sez he pities the foo who rips this and claims it as their own.
I'll add screenshots when I get the chance. Which I don't know when that will be.
