i know, perhaps this is the wong place, but i'll try anyway.
im trying to install oracle 817ee on solaris 7 thru an x-windows-app.
when specified my oraInventory-directory and the group-name who may install i'm asked to run /opt/oraclient/orainstRoot.sh.
so i ran it and the installer say i didn't.
i changed a lot of permissions on this disk and tryed manually: orainst IS allowed to write to all relevant directories.
but the installer is of an different opinion.
has anyone an idea?
