Can anyone help me, i am trying to do a link in html to open up word templates .dot files when the user clicks on the link. Opening .doc links are fine but .dot do not seem to be opening automatically. The only option given is to save file to disk which i do not want. Is there any reason for not simply renaming the dot to doc??<br />

Im trying to set up simple templates on the intranet for users to select and enter their own information and then save without affecting the original template.<br />
