I am fairly new to computers. I just finished working on my webpage in Frontpage. I tried Download ing my webpage to my internet address but it did not work. SO I e-mailed my hosting company and they told me that I need to upload an index page, named index.html . What is that? How do I do these so I can Download my webpage? Thank you for any type of help. The first page that anyone sees when they go to your website is the index page.

So if you have only one page your webpage that you have built needs to be called index.html and then any other pages you have built can be called whatever you want

Bonkom :pimp:Every file with extention htm or html will show up in your browser if you have the right adress name
http://www.yourhost.com/yourname/file.html
But
the startpage of your site has a special name index.html
so
http://www.yourhost.com/yourname
will show by default the index.html
On this index.html there are the links to the other pages of your site.

BTW always use lowercase in the file names, and no spaces.
Page 1.html can be used,
but this is much better:
page_1.html

:rocker:
