why is it that on my website if i try to goto

www.carpenoctem.tv/military it will not work, however, if i try to goto www.carpenoctem.tv/military/index.htm it does?

is there a way to make it so that www.carpenoctem.tv/military will work?if you do it like this it works:
http://www.carpenoctem.tv/military/is there a way to make it so that it will load as

www.carpenoctem.tv/cons instead of www.carpenoctem.tv/cons/Have you a directory named cons
http://www.carpenoctem.tv/cons.htm

and in this dir the index.htm file?

:rocker:i have a directory called "cons"

and i was wondering if there was a way that if i typed
"http://www.carpenoctem.tv/cons" into the address bar if it would load....

as of right now it gives me an error, and i have to do
"http://www.carpenoctem.tv/cons/" in order for it to work

there is an index.htm file in the cons directory

(i know that it used to work without the final '/' at the end... for some reason though it doesnt now)Strange.....
is it the new IE6 giving troubles?

With this typed in the address bar "http://www.carpenoctem.tv/cons"
it changes to:
and i can see the page.

(yesterday i could not see it)

:rocker:i found that the problem was in my .htaccess file....

Thanks for the help.... sorry to have taken up your time........why don't you post what the solution was so that other people who come by with the same problem can read it :)because i dont know what the solution really was.

I uploaded a backup copy that i had of my .htaccess file, and it started working again. i have no idea what the problem was
