I'm trying to figure out whether or not this would be helpful. If you find a link to your site from an outside page that has a low PR would it be worth it to add a link to that page in hopes of raising it's PR. For example I just noticed that my personal listing for Yellow Pages has a link to my website from addresses.com. However that page has PR 0. Would adding a link to it from my PR 5 site have any effect on that link being counted by SEs. Or would it just leak PR from my site?It would make for an interesting test.It never helps to trade reciprocal links with a site with a PR lower than yours. By linking to him, you will raise his PR (slightly) but will not see a real returnI traded links with a site that had a PR2 for it's links page. That site's creaator continued to solicit links from other high quality sites and now points back to my site with a PR5 page. Link because the site offers good content. Good content sites will eventually have good PR.If we didn't link to lower PR site they would never gain any PR. PR as we know it would come to a halt. It's about as resonable as credit companies that won't give credit to people because they don't have any credit. How's can you eat your meat if don't have any pudding!Quote:Quote:Its only helpful if the theme of the page matches your own.Google treats links from unrelated pages as "erroneous"Clarephaugh wrote:"Google treats links from unrelated pages as "erroneous""Can you prove this?I have links from all different types of sites.....related and non-related and google loves my site.....today.Some of the links come from huge sites that cover many different unrelated topics.
