I am a new developer and I need to chose a documentation tool. I've tested the following list of programs, but I hesitate to chose the best one. I tend to prefer \[code\]Sandcastle\[/code\] but is it missing some important features that I am not yet aware of?For instance, is Sandcastle missing something important like asp.net documentation capabilities? or another language?After testing the following software, I still do not see their advantage over Sandcastle:
NDoc
Doxygen
Sandcastle
Forge Doc
VSdocman
Doc-o-matic
Document! X
They all revolve around producing an MSDN style file for documentation. Some have extra features like PDF export.Why do these software exist if they do almost the same job as Sandcastle? Do they have special features which I did not see or find yet?Cons about Sandcastle (In my opinion):
No PDF export
No RTF export
