North Korea conducts a nuclear test....

North Korea conducted its first nuclear test yesterday at 1035 PST, thus ascertainint itself as another nuclear capable state in the comity of nations. USA tested its maiden nuclear device in 1945 and used it on Heroshima and Nagasaki within two weeks. Russia, England, China and France follwed by India and then Pakistan in joined the club in 1998.

The latest development in Korean psninsuila which would surely destablize the whole region. It would trigger a chain reaction that would engulf Japan, SouthKorea, China, Taiwan and Russia into another nuclear reace. As Japan is already a nuclear capable country in the "basement", South Korea and Taiwan would want to join the club giving China the licence to improve its own Nuclear Capability which would then confer India the excuse to built and improve its own program, and Pakistan then has to take resiprocative measures for its own safety.

USA is in a tight situation now, no one would want to create a rough nuclear state if sever sanctions are imposed on North Korea through UN. And USA certainly can't attack Nuclear North Korea with quite capable delivey systems that can also hit Eastern Coast of USA, and with the lingering problem of Iraq, Afghanistan and Iran, USA needs to re-think its position.
What do you think are the implications of this move by North Korea?
