Ok guys, I am making a webpage for my dad's business - the URL is www.gofetchexpress.com, and on certain browsers, the images are not showing up. I made the page using Microsoft Word Webpage. If y'all could take a look at the coding and tell me what could be wrong, I would REALLY appreciate it. Thanks a ton,
Whiti would love to be more help to you but im havign a few problems of my own, when i right click and then click view source nothing happens! but never mind about that.

the code for your images, do you know HTML or did you do it all on Word Webpage. because if you know the code, or the code that the images use then it might be easier to help you.

the code for images are: <img src=http://www.htmlforums.com/archive/index.php/"pic.jpg">

i will ask around for my little problem and if i managed to get that fixed i could try and help you more.

could you attach your code in a word file so i could look at it.

Joemay want to edit your post and place URL tags around the URL, as the commas are coming up also, which may confuse some people here.

there's a lot of Microsoft garbage in there. might want to clean the code up a bit.

w3c's validator results (http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http% ... ansitional)

outside of that, though, i don't see any reason at a glance why your images wouldn't show up. so it may be a server problem.I had a look @ your site http://www.gofetchexpress.com[/url],/ in your site link, It doesn't seem to be a source code error as your site loads ok & i got all the images to appear but there is a chance that your images might be buggy, what type of gif are you using, eg 87a | 89a, sometimes the 87's can play with your browser, maybe re-make a couple of the problem images & test them your self b4 uploading them back to your site, sorry i can't be of more help but thats about it for me... jaemanEverything's working dandy for me (Mozilla Firebird 0.6.1), Except i think you have one image missing. The thing i would do is get someone who knows HTML or learn it yourself as the word page maker is a bit dodgy and mainly makes code specifically for MSIE, i wonder why:rolleyes:. Anyway, if you want to start off on HTML, i'd sugges that you visit this site HTMLGoodies (http://www.htmlgoodies.com), It is a very well done site which is very very very easy for beginners to start with.

cheers,
JakeI tested out ur site on all the browsers i have and on all of um the images loaded correctly. So which browsers are the ones giving you the most trouble? And Microsoft Word Webpage can be notourius for using their own code that pertains to MIE so i would suggest using a HTML generator/editor (if you will) Geocities is a good one and there are many more out there. All you do is build your site with the editor then preview the page and view source then you copy the code and put it on ur new site. All you really have to do is fiddle with the code a bit and reupload all your images and your set. Plus you can make a much better page with it then Microsoft Word Webpage. Thats my 2 cents im done lol. :P

-Adiethe image that doesn't show up has the wrong path

src=http://www.htmlforums.com/archive/index.php/"Personal%20Web%20Page_files/image011.gif

the others are

src=http://www.htmlforums.com/archive/index.php/"image010.gif

notice no path.

also you are using very strict IE code and other web browser more than likely will fail on it.

don't use word to do any webpages.Originally posted by transmothra
actually Trans since it is a frame you have to specify frame mode ;)
Main page. Needs a lot of work: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http% ... ine=1&sp=1
You will find it easier if you make all filenames all in lower case, for HTML files, image files, all files.

You should export the CSS to an external file and call it with instructions in the
section of the HTML file. Most people use this one, but it can cause problems:

<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" src=http://www.htmlforums.com/archive/index.php/"/path/file.css">

It is better to use this slightly longer version of this, again placed in the
section of the HTML file:

This version hides the CSS from older versions of Netscape that cannot handle CSS. This stops those versions from displaying a corrupted page with overlapping elements.
