hello,if HTMl is not validated by validator.w3.org will it affect the ranking?my site has some affiliate links and shows some 34 errors when i try to validate my code. will it affect ranking?thank you.Valid HTML is always nice, but I doubt/guess Google don't care about it. Google's own pages don't validate, mostly they are lazy on specifying a proper Doctype.I think it's only critical if the code is so bad that the spider times-out on your page or can't read bits of it. Try browsing your page in spider view... can't remember the sites that have this service, but it's out there.pspdownloads wrote:Hi pspdownloads,I agree that w3.org validation is not a prerequisite to being ranked by the search engines. You can verify this by doing a search and then running the code of one of the results websites through the validator - you'll find that many of them don't validate on at least one or two measures. Good advice to reduce your errors as much as possible, though...HTH,Sam
