IE WebControl TreeView from XML and XLS template p

I'm trying to do the treeview example from MSDN where they use an xml file for the nodes and an xls file for a template that converts the xml values so they can be used to build the tree. Well, I used the exact data they used to make it, and I get an error... (System.Xml.XmlException: There is invalid data at the root level.
