i working on usa site ,how can i do seo for that ? especially offpage optimization like directory submission ,article submission etc,.. What do you mean with Quote: usa site ?

If you mean your target is the USA market, first your site should be located in the USA.

In other words, it should have
- either ".us" as ccTLD
- or, if it has an international TLD (.com, .net, .info, ...), it should be hosted on IP in the USA and/or be geotargeted USA in your google webmaster account.

With regards to link building, just try to get quality backlinks mainly from sites similarly located in the USA. Do not neglect quality backlinks from other countries. submit in USA directory, USA bookmarking and link exchange with that site which has more USA alexa traffic

[self promo] If you are targeting USA and if you are providing any service in USA, you can start with local classified ad posting, this may help to increase visibility of your website. Also try directory submission to get unique backlinks, article would help to improve keyword position. For specific geo targeting use all available resources (quality directories for example) from that area/country. Also use Google Places (Google Local) for some high organic rankings.

Of course, use Google Webmaster Tools for setting your geo targeting to USA.

But the most important thing is to build as many links as you can, and believe me, forget on blog comments, bookmarks submissions, forum spamming, articles submissions (newest Google algorithm "killed" most of those Article/content farms) and similar bad stuff...

IMO, if you are planning on GEO targeting, its better to have you website host in US servers, and for your link building, be sure to check the websites that you are posting or submitting if they are also based on US. Try to use WhoIs tool for checking the server.

[removed] More importantly, if you want your site to be found on google.com, make sure it has US relevant info somewhere on the site too...ie mailing address, or "We ship to the USA" etc. Google wants your site to be relevant to its users.
