Having been a PR 5 site for the past 12 months, and number one for a number of keywords, for example 'Win Competitions', we first of all dropped to PR4, and now have lost all ranking for our keywords.Now on a search for 'Win Competitions', for instance, some of our internal pages are found in the lower teens, but our home page is nowhere to be seen - the page that used to be number one.Our home page appears to be being penalised.Woe is me Any advice!I believe google has the ability to penalize single pages on websites. i have found some of my pages were penalized 3 years ago and stil as of yet have not come back.well now we are back ..................... after a week of hair-pulling angst why do they do these things Nice to hear What can be the reason for being penalised by google?I had the same issues with one of my websites (see sig). It was completely removed from Google for a couple of days - gave me sleepless nights My site does that on google often.I think that's just something that happensmy website: http://interpreneur.artichost.net got penalized sometime ago, it has still to fully recover from that It's damn annoying that they do this..Which gives me the idea that ultimately, google has A LOT of power in terms of online success for a company.
