I am Shifting Servers what should i do to restore the backup

Hello All

As due to the heck of members i decided the shift the servers , but really i need to restore my previous database to the new server

but i am not getting how to do it
i have uploaded all files from my previous server to the new one and then tried to restore the sql database but it is not working ,
it gets stuck always in here

and that Restoring Database does not end
also my database is of 186 MB and that huge database I CANNOT RESTORE IT USING phpmyadmin

Please can u tell me what should i do , to restore my database to the new forum

i use cpanel
SQL database it is of size 84 MB
and phpmyadmin dump size is of 186 MB

Anything more if u want to ask please tell me
and i previous started the forum using vb 3.7.0 then i upgraded to 3.7.3
Thus i am using 3.7.3

ok i have the sql file My-SQL File

in zipped state filename.gz

will i extract it and then upload it to the server or that .gz to the server
and also where i need to upload it to

i uploaded the .gz to the public_html
but it cannot recognize it please help me
 
just a tip if your using msql with phpmyadmin you can create the same database name and import the sql file that you get when you backup your database. What you do is make the new database (naming it the same as the last one) and you then use phpmydadmin to select the database and then look at the top options you`ll se import/export.Click import choose the database you`d like to add the files to and then you import the sql file. Note you`ll need the sql file not the gz but you can use both or even a spread sheet if you backed up the database from phpmyadmin then all of those options are useable.
