say if i had 100 domains or more how can i safely redirect the traffic of each domain to one source? is there any domain management software or script that can do this? thanks in advance By using a 301 Permanent RedirectCan you explain....hypothetically, why you would want to have the expense of maintaining 100 domains. Are the names that special that people would actually type them into the address bar. Otherwise a 301 re-direct is only going to get the other domain names dropped from the search index. 301 says to the SE's...I'm gone...I'm now over here....disregard the old domain and look at my new one.i was thinking of buying expired domains that already have a small amount of traffic i was just wondering if there was any was of managing them so i can redirect the traffic to one source safely without earning a ban.So I guess the only benefit to that would be if those expired domains had incoming links from other sites to drive traffic. I think once the 301 is implemented those domain will no longer appear in the search index.thanks for your advice I appreciate it it was just a thought thats allAnd a common thought. I run into customers all the time that own 20 or more domains...it baffles me as to why. The only real way to leverage those domains would be to host unique sites under each and even then you would have to be wary about hosting them on the same IP and registering them under the same name. The best thing to do is get one domain and work that one hard! Thanks for bringing up the topic. I'm sure lots of people have the same idea.
