I'm really getting sick of finding an error and having to count every line of html and script to find the row and column with the error. Notepad doesn't have a sort of row counter, word pad doesnt, microsoft word does but it has wordwrap thereby skewing the row number I'm looking for. but the good thing is that you can Download <!--more--> specific syntaxes off their site for basically any language you can think of...but im done my sales pitch now, hehe

I used Text Pad for a time, and I do highly recommend it. If you are just checking out text editors than the trial period is very open. If you want to drop the $27 on it, you can. I, however, checked out Edit Plus which has a stricter trial period, but has much better deault settings than Text Pad does. Plus, I think it has some of the best, if not the best, by default color coding in any text editor. It's $30. I have looked at jEdit and while I do like it so far, it takes a lot more setting up and Download <!--more-->ing plug-ins to get things set up the way I want them to be.<!--content-->html kit is free...
