In a certain section, when I press new thread it redirects to somewhere else.

Another thing how would I add a new thing to navbar w/ it dropdown menu

And another thing where if you click in navbar it'd show you threads you have posted in [insert forum section name] section.

So say I click it, it'd show me all the threads I posted in [insert forum section mame]

Just wondering, why would I need a portal system.

And no I don't have VBSEO installed. And also, why would I need VBSEO..doesn't it increase search engine?

You don't need either one. The reason I ask is that these two things, if installed incorrectly, are the two most common causes of misdirected links.
