that's also providing an anchor tag friend linkedin is a website where the professionals exchange their knowledge. it is just a type relationship sites where business man create relation with each other for business purpose I have read a lot about Social Media Optimization (SMO) recently but they all seem to be about using social networking @B2Bexpert in the profile you can give your give max 3 links of your site and put main keywords in company name, site name and blog url. Try to active on the Linkedin. It Google counts as a backlinks the profile link it is true for my site google is counting the linkedin profile as backlink.
It is not good for SMO, good for traffic & backlink also. Your profile can be an excellent source of SEO friendly links because:
- Linkedin has great authority in Google
- Your website links can be given unique anchor text with the dofollow attribute

I am using search status add-on on my browser to determine which links are dofollow or not... you can try it.
